Ongwe Minerals has officially commenced its 2026 Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling programme at the Belmont Prospect within the Khorixas Gold Project in Namibia, marking an important milestone in advancing exploration across the emerging Northwest Damara Gold Belt.
The current programme includes:
6,000 metres of RC drilling
4,000 m at Belmont and 2,000 m at Manga
Exploration across a 154,000-hectare project area
Objective: Define bedrock gold targets beneath calcrete cover ahead of a larger diamond drilling programme planned for later in 2026.
Namibia continues to strengthen its position as one of Africa's most attractive destinations for gold exploration, with systematic drilling programmes helping unlock new discoveries in underexplored terrains.
