Exploration momentum is building at the Wild Dog Gold Project.

Great Pacific Gold has announced a 13,000-metre diamond drilling programme for the second half of 2026, marking another important step in advancing exploration across the Wild Dog Gold Project—one of Papua New Guinea's promising epithermal gold systems.

The programme is focused on a 15 km structural corridor, with two diamond drill rigs currently operating across the Kavasuki and Kasie Ridge prospects.

Key Highlights:

  • 13,000 m planned diamond drilling

  • 2 active diamond drill rigs

  • 15 km prospective structural corridor

  • Multiple high-priority exploration targets under evaluation

Recent drilling at Kasie Ridge has intersected a large sulphide-bearing hydrothermal system that remains open at depth, while ongoing drilling at Kavasuki continues to test the continuity and extension of known high-grade gold mineralisation. Additional targets, including Magiabe, Mengmut, Morgan, and EK, are also scheduled for testing during the 2026 exploration programme.

Why It Matters?

Successful mineral exploration depends on systematic drilling, geological interpretation and continuous target generation. Every drill hole contributes valuable geological data that helps refine exploration models and improve confidence in future resource potential.

Projects like Wild Dog demonstrate how disciplined exploration programmes continue to unlock opportunities within prospective mineral districts.

What are your thoughts on large-scale exploration programmes?

Do you believe systematic drilling across district-scale targets is the key to discovering the next major gold deposit?
