Introduction In the diamond drilling, exploration, and core sampling industry, maintaining the integrity of rock cores is vital for accurate geological analysis. While much attention is often placed on drilling equipment, core running procedures, and sample labelling, one essential yet frequently overlooked component is the core tray lid. A robust and stackable plastic core tray lid transforms ordinary core waiters into a secure, space-efficient, and transport-ready storage

In mining and geological exploration, core samples are the foundation of critical decisions. Preserving them requires reliable storage solutions, and polypropylene (PP) core trays, also referred to as plastic core trays, are widely used for this purpose. Lightweight, durable, and chemically resistant, PP trays provide a practical solution for storing and transporting core samples. However, there is an often-overlooked factor that significantly affects their lifespan: ultravio
